NVENTIVE AND APPLIED ACTIVITIES

The determined effects and regularities allowed to create a wide class of technically important alloys, protected with patents, possessing the unique physical properties (a shape memory, a hyperelasticity, a high damping capacity, a negative temperature coefficient of electrical resistance) for the melting technologies of these alloys and their products.

Examples of practical usage of the technologies developed at the department

  

The gradient material and products made of it (cores, the spring) having the shape memory in a wide
temperature interval

Thermosensitive elements made of alloy with the shape memory for the tumblers

Temperature compensator for power lines. The spring is made of the alloy with the shape memory

 

Due to the unique technological parameters of the alloy for medical purposes, developed at the department, it is possible to obtain  the cast miniature components with the irregular shape, which have the shape memory effect without additional heat treatment  

New composite material Cu–Al–Ni/ invar with the controlled coefficient of thermal expansion and high electric conductivity
