Using independent techniques, the process of deposition in the Co2+–Al3+–SO42––H2O system with the initial spinel ratio of cations is investigated. A possibility of the cobalt hydroxide and aluminium co-precipitation is revealed, and an optimal interval of the PH values for precipitations, which are precursors for the CoAl2O4 spinel synthesis, is determined. The temperature regimes of thermolysis are suggested.
