Disadvantages of application of the formal difference function in the method of functions of radial distribution of atoms are shown theoretically. The possibility to use a physically clearly defined function of radial distribution of atoms for analysis of the structure of disordered atomic grids of amor-phous substances is substantiated. The mathematical relation-ship is obtained, which makes possible to determine directly the parameters of short order of amorphous substances from ex-perimental diffraction data without the integral Fourier transform.
