HISTORY AND RESEARCH ACTIVITY

The Collected Scientific Transactions ‘Voprosy Fiziki Metallov i Metallovedeniya’ (i.e. ‘Problems of Physics of Metals and Physical Metallurgy’) have being published during 1948–1964. Since March 1964, the Institute had been publishing the Republican Interdepartmental Collected Scientific Articles ‘Metallofizika’ (i.e. ‘Metal Physics’), on the base of which a Scientific-and-Theoretical Journal ‘Metallofizika’ (i.e. ‘Metal Physics’) was established in September 1979. Up to 1994, Dr. V.V. Kochelab had been working as the Executive Secretary of its Editorial Board and the Head of the Publishing Group. In October 1994, Dr. V.A. Tatarenko became the Executive Managing Editor of the Editorial Board of the newly reorganized monthly International Research Journal ‘Metallofizika i Noveishie Tekhnologii’ (‘MFiNT’, i.e. ‘Metal Physics and Advanced Technologies’). At the same time, the Editorial-Publishing Department of the Institute was formed. Actually, it consisted of both the Editorial Staff and the Team of Printing-Copyprinter Technical Facilities for data ware. In January 2013, Dr. E.G. Len became the Executive Managing Editor of a mentioned journal. Since October 2000, a quarterly Review Research Journal ‘Uspehi Fiziki Metallov’ (‘UFM’, i.e. ‘Advances in Physics of Metals’) has also being published as well as, since October 2003, the quarterly Collected Scientific Transactions ‘Nanosistemi, Nanomateriali, Nanotehnologii’ (‘NNN’, i.e. ‘Nanosystems, Nanomaterials, Nanotechnologies’) on the base of the Editorial-Publishing Department of the Institute. Dr. V.A. Tatarenko became the Executive Managing Editor of both editions. (Since January 2013, Dr. T.M. Radchenko became the Executive Managing Editor of a mentioned review journal ‘UFM’.) Since January 2012, Member of the N.A.S. of Ukraine O.M. Ivasishin became the Editor-in-Chief of both journals ‘Metallofizika i Noveishie Tekhnologii’ and ‘Uspehi Fiziki Metallov’. Since November 2011, Member of the N.A.S. of Ukraine A.G. Naumovets became the Executive Editor of the Collected Scientific Transactions ‘Nanosistemi, Nanomateriali, Nanotehnologii’.
