«The Change in the Biochemical Parameters of the Rat Blood after Skeletal Muscle Injury with C\(_{60}\) Fullerene Injection»
449–458 (2020)

PACS numbers: 81.16.Fg, 82.39.Jn, 83.80.Lz, 87.16.dp, 87.16.dr, 87.16.Tb, 87.19.Ff

The biochemical markers as creatinine, creatine phosphokinase, lactic acid and lactate dehydrogenase, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, hydrogen peroxide, reduced glutathione, and catalase activity are analysed in rat blood after skeletal muscle (soleus muscle) injury and with aqueous colloidal solution of C\(_{60}\)-fullerenes’ application. As shown, 1 mg per kg of animal weight is the most optimal therapeutic dose of C\(_{60}\)-fullerene intramuscular injection to restore muscle functioning after injury. The studied rats’ blood biochemical parameters positive changing compared to the control confirms the water-soluble C\(_{60}\)-fullerenes effectiveness, as powerful antioxidants, to correct muscular system pathological conditions from trauma.

Keywords: C\(_{60}\) fullerene, muscle trauma, dynamics of muscle contraction, biochemical analysis of blood, rats
