«Influence of C60 Fullerenes on the Mechanokinetic and Biochemical Parameters of Muscle Soleus Contraction in Chronically Alcoholised Rats with Experimentally-Induced Ischemia»
585–597 (2018)

PACS numbers: 81.16.Fg, 82.39.Jn, 87.16.dp, 87.16.dr, 87.16.Tb, 87.19.Ff, 87.64.Dz

The influence of water-soluble C60 fullerenes (after enterogastric administration with total therapeutic dose of 5 mg/kg) on the mechanokinetic and biochemical parameters of the soleus muscle contraction in alcoholised male rats of Wistar line (with masses of 140–160 g) during ischemia within 1 and 2 hours is studied and analysed. The creatinine, creatine phosphokinase and lactate dehydrogenase levels within the blood of animals are determined to assess the general physiological state of the damaged muscle. As revealed, the protective effect of C60 fullerenes as the powerful antioxidants is most effective under the ischemia of muscle of the initial severity degree (with duration of 1 hour) against the background of alcoholic myopathy.

Keywords: C60 fullerene, soleus muscle, alcoholic myopathy, ischemia, mechanokinetic and biochemical parameters of muscle contraction
