In this research, the method of stabilization of low-ash coal–water slurry is proposed. The influence of structural characteristics and concentrations of pyrogenic silicon dioxide onto rheological properties and stability of coal–water slurry is studied. The micrographs of coagulation structure, which is formed after the interaction of pyrogenic-silica nanoparticles with a surface of coal in a water medium, are obtained. The viscosity and stability-term increase with increasing specific surface area of pyrogenic silicon dioxide is revealed.
