The effect of nanosize particles in bentonites on colloid-chemical, nanochemical, and balneal properties of peloids (therapeutic muds) is investigated. As shown on example of the Black Sea peloids, the chemical composition, prior heat treatment, and concentration of nanomaterials in peloid composition have significant effect on therapeutic properties of muds. Correlation between colloid-chemical properties of montmorillonite as the main mineral component of bentonites and peloid balneal activity in the presence of colloidal additives with nanoparticles of bentonite and calcium carbonate is revealed.
