«Закономерности растворения фуллерена C60 в полиметилзамещённых бензола»

The process of fullerene C60 dissolution in polymethyl-substituted benzenes is considered as a reaction of intermolecular ?-donor–acceptor interaction leading to the formation of charge-transfer complexes of ?-type that allows revealing the regularity of dissolution of fullerene C60 in polymethylbenzenes. The ?-electron-acceptor ‘effect of –СН3 group in the meta-position’ of the aromatic ring is revealed. The method for calculation of the C60 fullerene solubility in polymethyl-substituted benzenes is developed. As ascertained, the change in the solubility of C60 in polymethylbenzenes at the ‘introduction’ (or ‘breeding’) of the СН3-groups in the benzene nucleus does not depend on the already existing number and arrangement of the СН3-groups in polymethyl-benzene. An explanation for the low solubility of fullerene C60 in organic solvents is presented.
