Gas-volumetric method is used to investigate the combined ef-fect of ascorbic and humic acids in the processes of radical-induced chain oxidation of model hydrocarbons. As shown, the ascorbic and humic acids, depending on their concentration in a system, can behave as inhibitors or prooxidants of radical-chain oxidation. This could be promising for development of complex preparations with targeted action and controlled redox properties as well as for the development of antioxidants and prooxidants on their base for nanomedicine.
