«Effect of Acoustical Field on Content of Fullerenes and Nanotubes in Carbon Condensate »
431–437 (2010)

PACS numbers: 61.48.-c, 68.37.Hk, 81.05.ub, 81.20.Ka, 81.70.Cv, 81.70.Pg, 82.80.Bg

Influence of acoustic field on content of carbon nanomaterials is studied. Synthesis is carried out in a high-frequency arc with low-frequency modulation in a stream of carbon–helium plasma under atmospheric pressure. As shown experimentally, in the case of coincidence of frequencies of arc-current modulation and acoustical resonance of the chamber, in which a synthesis is being performed, the maximum yield of fullerenes and the minimum yield of nanotubes are observed.
