«Superconductivity of AnTlmHgxC60 Fullerides (A=K, Rb, Cs; n=1, 2; m=0.25–2) Synthesized from Amalgams»

The AnTlmHgxC60 fullerides (A???K, Rb, Cs; n???1, 2; m???0.25–2; x???1) have been synthesized by a new method, using liquid alloys of metals with mercury (amalgams). Transition into superconducting state is observed at temperature Tc within the range of 16.5???Tc???28.2 K. In potassium-based K2TlmHgxC60 fullerides, the optimum fraction of thallium m ??0.5, at which Òñ is maximal and makes 22 K that is higher than temperature of superconducting transition in K3C60 (19 K) and K2LuC60 (20 K). Fullerides of CsnTlmHgxC60 compositions (n ??1–3; m???1, 2) are not superconductors and form a rhombic lattice at crystallisation.
