Defects of atomic and local levels of amorphous material structure are considered. As noted, the heterogeneities of local level are inalienable part of amorphous structure. Defects of microscopic and macroscopic levels of structure as well as heterogeneities introduced by quenching technology are considered. The relation between stresses and structure heterogeneities is ascertained. Estimations of stresses of the first and second types and their influence on physical properties of material in the case of thermal and mechanical treatment are carried out.
