The review is targeted at: 1) methods of generation of femtosecond (n^(10?15)
s)
laser pulses; 2) analysis of three original time-resolving ‘pump-probe’ techniques
created by the authors, for study of time evolution of induced light
absorption (reflection), photoluminescence, changes in refraction index, and
photostructural transformations of media; 3) description of material resources
and methodical potential of the Centre of Joint Use, N.A.S. of the
Ukraine ‘Laser Femtosecond Complex’; 4) examples of problems in the field
of femtophotonics of nanostructures, which can be resolved using this complex.
The main target of the review is to inform and to stimulate interest to
such investigations, which are now available in the Ukraine.
