Modes of synthesis of carbon nanomaterials (CNM) with an opti-mal morphology and pore-size distribution, which provide high characteristics of electrochemical capacitors, are optimized. By x-ray, differential thermal (DTA), thermogravimetric (TGA) analyses, and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), the fea-tures of structural transformations in the CNM under different conditions of heat treatment are studied. A correlation between the dynamics of redistribution of the integral intensities of EPR signals and the evolution of structural and functional parameters of the carbon compositions is revealed.
